Mesquite Beef Jerky Recipe
This new mesquite beef jerky recipe is is bold, smokey, and is really just packed full of flavor! It's made with just the right amount of worchestershire, soy, mesquite seasoning, liquid smoke, and brown sugar.
If you truly enjoy a rich flavored jerky then this one will slap you right off your bar stool! When you get back up, you'll still be smiling.... No but seriously, this smokey mesquite beef jerky recipe is bound to satisfy nearly everyone it encounters.
Ingredients:
- 3 - lbs top round
- 1 - cup worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 - cup soy sauce
- 3 - Tbs Weber Smokey Mesquite Seasoning ( or similar)
- 1 1/2 - tsp mesquite liquid smoke
- 1 - Tbs brown sugar
Preparation:
- Cut your all american beef into 1/4" strips with a width of about an inch.
- Mix all of the i ngredients together in a large pot, heat until hot to the touch and wisk until it is thoroughly mixed. Turn off heat and let cool.
- Evenly separate your beef strips into two gallon size ziploc bags and add half of the marinade to each bag. Shake the bags well and allow the meat to marinate for 24 hours. Be sure to mix and turn over the bags every 4 hours or so.
- Remove the strips of meat and place directly on your dehydrater racks.
- Dehydrate your meat for 5-7 hours or until done and enjoy your mesquite jerky!
